Brazil - Campeonato Brasileiro
Corinthians / Palmeiras
Writeup I Found:
Well, i did my best to understand why Corinthians is being considered the favorite in this game. Honestly, i could not find the reason.
Motivation is the same for both teams. This is the biggest Sao Paulo derby and both teams are close to the relegation zone.
Home factor should be null once Pacaembu stadium is owned by Sao Paulo municipality. Corinthians play all its games on Pacaembu, but in terms of fans it will be close to 50-50.
Form is not the best for both teams
Regarding missing players Palmeiras is in a much better situation. Corinthians will miss Carlos Alberto, Gustavo Nery and Magrao. All of them key players. Additionaly their best striker Amoroso is doubtfull. The Right Back position is occupied by MF Rosinei once specialists Eduardo and Edson have long term injuries.
Palmeiras will miss Juninho Paulista, indeed a key player. But Enilton, marcinho and Michael are available after being injured in last games.
Most of you will agree that the fair odds for DNB should be 2.0-2.0, and if there is a favorite it is Palmeiras and not corinthians. So 2.20 for Palmeiras(0) is huge value and the only reason i am staking only 8/10 and not 10/10 (i normally do 6/10) is the derby factor I believe odds on Palmeiras will drop when the big bets begin, so this one is to be picked quickly
